Letter Art for Sale

For the past few weeks I have been working on a project of Letter Art. The original goal was to find things in nature that would help me spell out different words. But the final product is 17" tall X 12" wooden letters with scripture themes, along with photos I have taken. This has been quite relaxing and a joy to put together. Below are a few of the letters that are ready for sale. If you want one of these, as they are, the cost is $15.00. If you would like a custom made art letter to your desire, they will be $20.00 each. If you can pick them up or if I can deliver them that will save in postage. Also for sale are some photos mounted on foam board, for $8.00 each. They are either 8" X 10" or 8.5" X 11". They can also be custom made with any of my photos for the same price. I will add more as I get them done. Thanks...

Ice Follies 2015

What an amazing time of year when Spring finally makes its appearance, the snow melts, and the ice melts on the lakes and rivers. Today I made one final photo shoot of the outgoing ice on the ponds. Most of the ice has a dreamy white appearance, just like photos of flowing water taken in a slow shutter speed. Because there was still ice on the water, I was able to set my camera on the ice and shoot. What I ended up with is photos that were taken just for artistic expression - basically color and composition. Either way, enjoy them and let me know what you think. Thanks and God Bless.

Bottle Lights

It is always amazing what you can do with things you pick up off the ground. As I was taking photos at the Trego Foot Bridge, there in the grass was an old beer bottle. It made a perfect prop to shoot sunlight through. The clear color of the glass, the colorful lettering and the bright sun worked together to make some great shots. I was going to take the bottle home with me, but my luck, I would have been pulled over and accused of having an open bottle in the car. Just what I needed! Then later this afternoon, I used a red candle holder to take more shots of the sunlight. Who needs fancy lights, when God provides the best light of all.

I would rather take photos of area scenery, but this works great in a pinch.

Colton Dam Photo Shoot

Even though the snow is starting to melt and it is warming up, there are still plenty of places that have quite a bit of snow. The lakes are still froze over, but there are some bare spots, which make for beautiful contrasts of light and dark. One of those special places is Colton dam, east of Minong. Yesterday I had the chance to take a few photos at this beautiful dam. Because the ground still had some snow on it, I was able to walk a little deeper in the woods and get some good pictures of the river. Praise the Lord, the sun was bright and the sky was blue - more contrasts in color. Here are a few of those photos.
