During the past 2 years I have made a lot of photo cards that I have both given away and sold. The purpose of these cards is hopefully to encourage people and share the Gospel. I usually do not include scripture verses with the cards and leave the inside empty, so people can put their own notes in the cards as they write to others. However this last batch of cards, I put a verse on the front of the card because it was just the right thing to do. Psalms 46:10 is one verse that God has brought to my attention time and time again and I think it is a great verse to encourage others. If you would like a set of either or both of these cards they are available for 8 cards and envelopes for $8.00. (This includes shipping and handling). Any money generated goes for either photo or printing supplies. You can drop me a line at Fdistad@Gmail.com, along with your name and address. You can also simply call at 715-939-0601. I also have 4x6 magnets of these 2 photos available for $3.00 each

Be Still and KNOW.....
For the past few years I have made a lot of photos and framed them. It has always been my dream to really sell one to someone that would enjoy it. One of the men from our photo club has been putting pictures up at the Spooner Market and Grill for people to look at and maybe even sell. So last Monday I gave him 2 of my framed photos to put up and today I got a call saying that a dear lady from Spooner purchased one of my photos. (Thanks Kirk) The photo had a verse on it: "Be Still and Know That I am God." Psalms 46:10. That is exactly how I feel - We serve and amazing God who is in control. This may not be an earth shaking event, but it is an encouragement and a way of validating my hobby of photography.

April Eagles
On my way to Duluth today, I saw an eagle sitting in a tree waiting for me to take a photo of it. Just as I got our of the car, the eagle took off, but I managed to get a few shots before it totally disappeared. Isaiah 40:31 tells us "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles..." What a tremendous encouragement, especially when you see how eagles soar, so freely and gracefully. Each time I see an eagle soar in the sky, it reminds me of God's love for us.

Muskrat Love...
After our snow storm yesterday, today was absolutely beautiful with sunny skies and moderate temperatures. Because it was so beautiful, I had to take a ride to see if there was anything to take photos of. I was not disappointed. One of my favorite spots is the Early Pond, north of Earl. Swimming in the distance were 3 ducks, which I later found out were Hooded Merganser's. They are absolutely beautiful birds, but very skiddish. I did manage to get a few shots before they flew off. My next stop was another pond south of Lampson. Something was moving in the water, so I had to see what it was. It turned out to be a muskrat swimming, eating and sunning itself. I got as close as I could and started to snapping the lens. He just sat there eating and enjoying the day and letting me photograph him for 10 - 15 minutes. What a day of blessing after the snowstorm. God knows how to show us His creation.

Reflecting on Old Barns
Today, after church, I took a couple of side roads home and found these barns. The barn with the reflection in the water really peaked my interest. After I got home and put it on the computer, I noticed not only the reflection of the barn, but also of the pine tree. Why are there always pigeons hanging around barns? What attracts them to the barns? The old windows and doors are amazing, the color and character of them. Some time I would love to go inside these old barns and take pictures of the haylofts, old equipment and angles of the barns. I wonder what stories they would tell if they could talk.
