Somehow it is hard to grasp the reality that in a few hours it will be a new and exciting year - 2015. Where has the time gone! I have no idea how many photos I took in 2014, but it is probably well over 10,000, maybe even 20,000 or more. They included landscapes, a few animals, Lighthouses, people, 2 weddings (4000 just in weddings), tons of flowers, camp photos, sunsets galore, and much more. Today, being the last day of the year, I gave myself an assignment of shooting "minimalism", which means shooting one small object in a large empty background. With plenty of pure white open fields and lakes, it wasn't hard to find objects to shoot. They ended up being mainly leaves blowing in the wind and a few shadows. I have a new program called "Perfectly Clear" which I tried to enhance a few of the photos. Please enjoy and let me know what you think.

The Perfect Shot!
Once in a great while, as a photographer, you find perfect conditions and everything falls into place for the perfect photo shoot. That was earlier this week when I travelled up to Wisconsin Point to shoot the Lighthouse (again). I have shot this lighthouse 10 or more time in the past few years. BUT this day the weather was absolutely great. The wind was blowing and the waves were splashing. The only downside was that it was a grey cloudy day, but that did not matter. I moved around to get different angles and just kept on shooting - almost 700 shots in an hour. Then the magic really happened - a Coast Guard boat drove right by the lighthouse and the waves continues to splash. To say the least it was a breath-taking experience, that doesn't come along very often. I kept thinking man may have made the lighthouse and the breaker wall, but only God could put a day like this together for His glory. These are just a few of the photos I shot that day. To GOD be the Glory!

December Fog
For 3 days were have had heavy fog. Part of me really hates this stuff, because it is hard to drive in. BUT part of me really loves it, because fog makes great photos in contrast. Here are some of the photos I took today in the thick, dense fog. Beauty out of ugly! Isn't that what God does in our life - Takes the ugly and makes it beautiful!

Black & White World
So far this winter I have taken very few photos. Part of the reason is the dull dark and short days we have had. Yesterday I managed to go for a walk in the Trego woods and take a few photos. They are nothing to really brag about, so I decided to spice them up by turning them into Black and White re-creations. Black and White can actually add another dimension to what would be pretty plain and bland. How glad I am though that we don't see things just in Black and White like some animals do. God gave us great and beautiful colors to help us enjoy creation around us and bring us to glorify Him. Here are a few of those Black and White photos from yesterday. The 4th one, of the top of the trees, amazingly enough was totally washed out, until I turned it into Black and White and enhanced it.
