Even though this morning was cold (-7 degrees below zero), I still wanted to take a few pictures of the Wisconsin Point Lighthouse. Believe me, I did not take very many photos. My hands and face froze quickly. My car felt very good when I finally got in. Anyway, here are a few photos from today at Wisconsin Point and also a barn in Minong, Wi. on the way home. Enjoy, God Bless and Keep warm!!!

Custom Wood Frames
Over the past few years I have tried to build up a reputation as a photographer, with the goal of giving God the glory for the nature around us. Many of my photos I have also framed with wood frames that I have made. Some are made of rustic lumber and others out of pine that I have bought or found. Below are a few samples of some of the frames I have made. Frames can be made for any size photo, as long as we can get glass for it or cut glass for it. Prices vary according to size and uniqueness of the frames. Most of the 8 1/2" X 11" are $25.00 each. Larger frames and the unique frames are a little more. If you would like a custom frame, please let me know the size of the photo and what style you would like. Feel free to email me at Fdistad@Gmail.com, call me at 715-939-0601 or message me on Facebook. Thank you and God Bless.
The first 3 are double framed
4 - 10 are pine frames in various finishes
11-16 are made of rustic lumber
the last 4 are some of the unique frames.

Sunny Cold Day
When taking photos a little sunshine goes a long ways. If I had taken these photos when it was cloudy and dark they would be dull and dark. This is why lighting is so important when taking photos. The rule of thumb is always shoot away from the sun and into the area the sun is lighting up. If you take photos toward the sun they usually turn out dark and over exposed. Although there are times to break this rule when looking for artistic expression, such as a sun star. Just remember you NEVER - EVER point the camera directly at the sun. You can burn out the sensor and damage your eyes at the same time. Here are some shots from today north and east of Hayward on County Road S. Enjoy and God Bless!

Let It Snow!
I realize that many people would rather just skip winter and go straight to Spring or Summer. BUT that is not me! I actually enjoy the snow and all of it's beauty. Yesterday, I took the day off and traveled to Bayfield County where I knew there would still be plenty of snow. There is a rustic road from Bayfield to Cornucopia that is simply beautiful any time of year. Windy, hilly road with plenty of snow drooped trees. In the morning it was cloudy, but around noon the sun came lout for a while. Blue skies and white glistening snow blend in well. God gives us winter for a reason and we need to glorify Him whether we enjoy winter or not. Here are a few of the photos I took - Enjoy and Give God the Glory!!!! Let it SNOW!!!!!!
