God's Garden

As I was getting ready to post these photos of flowers from various flower gardens, I realized that they do not need a commentary. Their beauty speak for themselves and show God's glory. So here they are... Enjoy and give God the Glory...

Mood swings!

To be honest, this morning I was not in a good mood and simply stressed out. My remedy for that was to get away this afternoon and take a few pictures at the Chippewa Flowage near Hayward. This is one of my favorite spots, especially in the summer. I never know what I will run into or see on this trip. Today I was not disappointed. God allowed me to take pictures of a blue heron resting in the shallows, turtles sitting on a log, and a family of geese getting ready for a trip in the lake. These are all things I have wanted to shoot for a few years, but the timing has always been off. The heron just sat there while I took his picture, the turtles did not jump into the water as they usually do and the geese were enjoying their walk near the restaurant by the bridge. God was teaching me HIS timing and to wait on Him. Overall it was a worthwhile trip and a blessing.

Purple Flower Power

Those who lived through the 1960's probably already know about "Flower Power". To say the least there is real "power" in flowers. Who hasn't looked at a flower and been swept away by it's fragrance and beauty? Flower have the power to say "I Love You" or "I'm Sorry". They can bring us to tears of joy or of sorrow. We are moved at the display of flowers at a wedding or a funeral. Above all they should cause to be in AWE of a Holy God who created them and brought them to life. This is one of the real, long awaited, joys of spring. It has been a long and harsh winter, but now we can rejoice in the beauty of spring flowers. Attached are a few of the "Purple" flowers I found in Spooner today and took photos of. Enjoy and "More power to the flower!!!".

Garbage or art?

Every spring and summer I love taking photos of Esther's flowers. She has one of the most beautiful flower gardens in the area. Tonight the sun was setting as I was taking photos. Most of the time any shots taken into the sun turn out washed out and faded and end up on the cutting room floor. But I have learned that they can be extra special works of art. God can take the unwanted and discarded and make it into something of beauty. Take a look at these photos - what do you see? Garbage or art?
