Old Buildings

One of the things that I enjoy taking pictures of is old buildings. Washburn County has many old buildings, especially barns that are in various stages of decay. This first 2 photos is a shed that belongs to a friend of mine. In Photo Shop Paint I was able to age the picture so it looks like it was taken at the turn of the century (1900). The next group of pictures was an old abandoned house in Springbrook. Can you imagine the Reality ad? "Like New Early American fixer upper for sale. Just needs a little elbow grease to make it ready. Bathroom recently remodeled with new plumbing and accessories. Call today - move in tomorrow." Just think, a few years ago these buildings were new and people lived in them or used them. Time takes a toll and them and us.
